A Bartl "Flying Ring" reel.  This reel has been used as a "Pull", but by removing the brown wooden ball and shortening the line by a couple of inches, it can be used as originally intended, so that as the clip enters the tube socket, the clip automatically opens and drops the ring into your hand.  With backing plate to attach the reel to the waistband of your trousers at the back.  Superb quality. Plated.  Rare. The next best thing to a John Martin reel at a fraction of the price.  £225.
